Cece Peri holds a doctorate in psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is currently a freelance research consultant.  Her poetry has appeared in literary journals and anthologies including Speechless the Magazine, San Gabriel Valley Poetry Quarterly, Untangled: Stories & Poetry from the Women and Girls of WriteGirl, Gift of Words: Poems for the  Iraqi People and is forthcoming in Master Class in Poetry from Duende Books.  She was the recipient of the first Anne Silver Poetry Award from Speechless.  In 2008, she was named one of six Newer Poets of Los Angeles by the LA Poetry Festival.  Cece, a transplant to the Los Angeles area, was born and raised in New York City.
